The Altnaharra Hotel has two self-catering cottages within the hotel grounds available for rental. When it comes to self catering, Scotland and in particular Sutherland, provide the most beautiful location in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Both cottages are newly refurbished and are a stone’s throw from a flurry of brilliant outdoor activities, making our self catering cottages in Scotland the ideal getaway. Converted from the original 19th Century hotel barns, these self catering holiday cottages are of traditional appearance but, following refurbishment in 2010, are equipped with all the modern comforts that you would expect from luxury self-catering accommodation.
The beds can be arranged as either twin or double in the rooms of each cottage, depending on your requirements. Just let us know your preference when booking. All bed linen is provided along with towels and the use of the hotels laundry and drying rooms. Both self catering cottages have newly fitted kitchens which are equipped with all of your essentials such as a fridge, cooker, microwave, dishwasher, crockery, pots and pans etc.
Guests who are staying in our Scottish holiday cottages still have full use of the hotel facilities such as the bar, restaurant and games room. There is ample parking within the grounds of the hotel, and fishing and shooting activities can be organised by prior arrangement. For those wanting to visit sights in the northern and central Highlands it is a good idea to stay in Sutherland. Holiday cottages allow you the freedom to explore at your own pace and are great for families or groups of friends.
